The region is home to numerous ancient monasteries perched atop hills, such as Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery, and Diskit Monastery. These monasteries showcase beautiful architecture, intricate murals, and valuable religious artifacts.
Ladakh is also renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. The serene Pangong Tso Lake, with its ever-changing shades of blue, is a sight to behold.
Adventure enthusiasts flock to Leh Ladakh for its thrilling activities. Trekking in the region is immensely popular, with trails leading to high mountain passes, hidden valleys, and remote villages.
Arrival Leh, Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (this must be one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of k2, nanga parbat, gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is the nun kun massif.) Upon arrival you will met by our representative and transfer to hotel for check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize followed by welcome tea or coffee at the hotel. Evening visit shanti stupa. Later visit the market (stay for 01hour only). Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Post breakfast, we proceed for Indus valley monastery starting with hemis gompa, the largest monastic foundation of drukpa kagyu order of tibetan buddhism, Thiksey monastery an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Shey palace, the ancient capital of ladakh, 3 idiots rancho school & Sindhu ghat. After visiting above places, we drive back to Leh.
Evening at leisure to explore on your own. Dinner & overnight at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, we leave for Pangong lake through Changla pass 5486 mtrs. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through sakti village. Stop at the changla pass for a quick photograph session and drive down to the village of tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms wide and over 133 kms long with half of it running the other side of the "Indo china border". One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. After spending some time at Pangong we drive back to Leh in the late afternoon. Rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Overnight at hotel in Leh.
In the morning drive for the Khardung - la pass. This is the ultimate challenge of the trip. It is the highest motorable road in the world taking you to a dizzy 5,600m!
The view from the top is spectacular, stretching from the Indus valley in the south over the endless peaks and ridges of the zanskar range to the giants of the sesser massif in the north. you can feel proud of a true achievement as you finish the trip with your final satisfying descent. Evening shopping and move around market car will drop you to the market you have to go back to hotel by exploring. Evening sightseeing to Sangam, followed by overnight at Hotel
Magnetic hill which defies the law of gravity. it has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up & further driving through a picturesque landscape.
Sangam is 4 km before nimmu village, the confluence of two river zanskar and indus is called Sangam. the national high way is passing on the cliff so you can see the confluence and both river starches coming out from the colorful mountain George. In seasons they have different colors and flow and wildness.
Gurdwara patthar sahib is Situated 25 miles from Leh, it is believed that once guru nanak ji was meditating demon attack by threw large stone on the guru nanak ji .the boulder melt while touching the guru ji .In the shape of guru nanak ji, the demon tried to crush guru nanak by kicking the boulder with all his might. to his surprise, the demon’s foot caused a deep impression in the boulder which had turned soft. the boulder with the imprints of guru nanak dev ji and the foot of daemon is still there.
Ladakh hall of fame: The hall of fame is a glorious war cum historic museumbuild by the army. it is worth a visit for every citizen. you can see the memorabilia, images, weapons, history about the Ladakh, culture, dress code, fauna and flora. Kargil war strategies and ot her key strategic battles fought in Ladakh. Here’s something that you will be proud of our defense personnel who sacrificed themselves so that we could live in peace.
After Breakfast, you will be directly transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
